Your Mom and Dad have always been special "parents" to me as they were the first parents in the Church I had. He even stood as a witness at my wedding in the temple to Klifton and has given me countless blessings in my time of need and uncertainty. What a wonderful example he has been to me over the years as an example of what a loving husband and father should be to his children. I am grateful to have known him. I have two very fond memories to share.
The first was, I remember your mom calling him her "Mr. Fixit Sir" and one day she was talking about a project he was doing for her outside and she was excited about it. He walked in from working outside and she yawned a sigh right as he walked in. And we all laughed. He exclaimed, "I still take her breath away, even today!".
Another memory I have is being at their house all the time as a young adult and after about 6 months of knowing the Robertson Family...Bert asked me to say the dinner prayer at the table. I got really choked up because I really felt like part of the family. It touched me so deeply to have been invited to be a part of this special family.
